Below you will find what some of family members have said about our care.

Dear Dick and Penny

God Bess both of you for providing the home that you allowed James to live in. Thank you for everything you did for him to be comfortable and happy.

I appreciated your wonderful staff and beautiful home. Penny I am grateful for all of your help, and the fun monthly parties you arranged.

Dick, I am very grateful for you being there I needed help. Thanks for all of the help that you provided. There is one thing I was especially impressed by….that your homes are set up to handle ALL phases of Alzheimer’s. For this I thank you from the depth of my heart. I do not think I could have emotionally or physically dealt with it by myself.

God bless both of you and your life’s work with Catharine’s.

TO ALL OF YOU WONDERFUL CAREGIVERS

I can’t thank you enough for the loving care you gave Gary in his time at Catharine’s.  I felt the warmth when I first visited there, and my intuition that it would be comfortable HOME for him was confirmed right away. It is a tribute to all of you that he adjusted so amazingly quickly, and I was delighted that he grew into resuming some of the activities he had enjoyed when he lived with me …like putting dishes in the dishwasher and cleaning up the floor. Those things told me clearly that he felt safe and secure. Trust doesn’t come easily to those who can’t reason anymore. He trusted you. You have my deepest most heartfelt thanks for caring for my most special loved one.

Chris,

What a wonderful home you moved Roberta into! She is relaxed, happy and content. The staff are attentive, and the home is just that, homey! Even though each of the women we met that day had their own challenges, they seem to have patience and acceptance with each other. It was heartwarming to see.

The sound of laughter is a contagious thing and such a wonderful release. Roberta laughed a lot that afternoon, as we did, and it felt so good to share that with her.

I cannot imagine how hard it must be to not have Roberta with you at home, but Chris, Catharine’s is like an answered prayer. It is just “right.” Take care of yourself.
